Wii Motion Plus from Nintendo Review

The Wii Remote and Wii MotionPlus from Nintendo takes the motion-sensing controls of the Wii console to the next level of precision sensing gameplay movements with greater accuracy than ever before.

It is designed to attach easily to the Wii Remote. The Wii MotionPlus brings every twist of the wrist or turn of the body to life, faithfully replicated on the TV screen. With the combination of the Wii Remote and MotionPlus elevate your gameplay to such a level of realism that you never thought of.

The Wii MotionPlus was announced by Nintendo in a press release on July 14, 2008 and revealed the next day at a press conference at the E3 Media & Business Summit. It was released in June 2009

The device incorporates a two-axis[4] tuning fork gyroscope,[5] which can determine rotational motion. The information captured by the angular rate sensor can then be used to distinguish true linear motion from the accelerometer readings.[6] This allows for the capture of more complex movements than possible with the Wii Remote alone.[7][8]

The Wii MotionPlus features a pass-through External Extension Connector, allowing other expansions such as the Nunchuk or Classic Controller to be used simultaneously with the device. The attachment has a color-coded mechanical slide switch for locking the clip release. When attached to the Wii Remote, the unit extends the length of the controller body by approximately 1+1⁄2 in (4 cm). Each Wii MotionPlus includes a longer version of the Wii Remote Jacket to accommodate the added length.

The device is only used by games that have been specifically developed to use its functionality. It can remain attached to the Wii Remote when playing games that do not support it without causing any problems, but it will not enhance gameplay. The device must be detached when using the Wii Remote with certain accessories such as the Wii Wheel or Wii Zapper.

Nintendo DSi coming April 5 - DSi by Nintendo

Nintendo DSi is set to launch on April 5! So what's the difference between this and the popular DS. Well, the DSi has comes with two cameras. One inside that points to the game player and one on the outside that works like a regular digital camera (including 10 different interactive “lenses” that can manipulate your photos). The Nintendo DSi is also thinner and has a larger screen. It also comes with extra memory and a slot for a member card (SD) for storage. And last but not least, the Nintendo DSi Sound application offers both a voice recorder and music player.

The MSRP of the DSI is $169.99. The colors available at launch will be Blue and Black. The DSI is available for pre-order at Amazon:

Fallout 3 Game Ships - Huge First Week - Fallout3 Game

Fallout 3 was released in North Amercia (US) and Europe at the end of October. And there is a rumored release of Fallout 3 in Japan on December 4th. Early indicators show that it will be a Huge Success.

Fallout 3 shipped roughly 4.7 million copies around the world last week, which should take it over the $300 Million Mark. The game is available on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.

Sony 80GB PlayStation 3 (PS3) Comes to Japan

Tomorrow, Thursday October 30th, 2008, Sony is supposed to release release the new 80GB PlayStation 3 (PS3) computer entertainment system with DUALSHOCK 3 wireless controller in Japan. The retail price is rumored at 39,980 yen (including tax).

The Sonly 80GB PlayStation 3 (PS3) system will come in Clear Black, Ceramic White, and Satin Silver. As a holiday season offer, it will come bundled with the Blu-ray Disc version of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue Spec III for PS3.

Along with the launch of this new model, the long-awaited LittleBigPlanet for PS3 will also become available on Thursday October 30th.

Rock Band Wii - Rock Band Wii Special Edition Bundle Available Soon

The Rock Band Special Edition Bundle for the Nintendo Wii will be available starting Sunday, June 22nd. Rock Band will feature 60 songs, and all the accessories of the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions (white drum set).

Guitar Hero World (IV) is coming out later in the year. It will be interesting to see how it stacks up.

Rock Band is rated “T” for Teen (lyrics, mild suggestive themes) by the ESRB. Rock Band is also currently available for the Xbox 360,PS3 and PS2.

Sony Ericsson F305 Phone - The Sony Ericsson F350 is Wii Like!

Sony unveiled the Sony Ericsson F305. Similar to the motion sensing of the Wii controller, the Sony Ericsson F305 phone (besides being a phone) allows you to move the phone to control games. Some of the preloaded games included Bowling and Fishing. With the F305 you are able to play games horizontally. Other cool features include a slot for a memory card, camera, and gaming keys.

I'm sure Sony had the youth in mind when creating the Ericsson F305.

DS Lite Lime Green in Europe - No Green DS Lite in US

The Nintendo Green DS Lite has been spotted in Europe (See Below), but everything still seems quiet on the US Front for the new DS Lite in Green. From the stir on the Internet in the US, I think people are getting pretty anxious to have the Nintendo DS Lite Green. Maybe it's from all of the environmental talk from the high gas prices. "Green" is good.
