At the he grand opening of Apple's fourth retail store in NYC. They handed out 2500 t-shirts with a little graphic of the Upper West Side store. Some of the folks in line has been there since 3AM (& Earlier) in the morning.

Apple makes it so exciting... gotta love them.

Apple Store New York Upper West Side Opens




Apple will open its newest retail store on New York’s Upper West Side on Saturday, November 14 at 10:00 a.m. According to Apple, this store (that sits beneath an all glass roof)will offer more Macs, iPods and iPhones than any store in the world.

On the lower level you will find the largest area ever created by Apple for personal training and technical support (45-foot Genius Bar).

The New Apple New York Upper West Side Store is Located on Broadway at 67th Street (just minutes from Lincoln Center and Central Park).

The store is staffed with a highly trained Apple team made up of more than 200 employees.

This new Apple Store Upper West Side is the fourth in Manhattan and Apple’s 15th in the New York metro area. According to Apple, approximately 170 million people on four continents have visited Apple retail stores this year.

Apple now operates 280 stores in ten countries including the US, UK, Italy, Australia, Canada, Japan, China, Switzerland, Germany and France.

Best Buy customers in select markets from Washington, DC to Denver can turn to the nation’s largest consumer electronics retailer for help in satisfying their Health and Fitness equipment. A wide selection of Health & Fitness gear is now available in 40 Best Buy Stores in the US.

Best Buy Locations with the new Fitness Gear in the US include stores in Arizona, Colorado, Iowa, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nebraska, New Mexico and Texas. The Health & Fitness technology devices are organized by activities (running, walking, swimming, and yoga), as well as fitness equipment in some locations.

The Best Buy health and fitness assortment includes a wide variety of monitoring watches by Timex, Polar, Garmin, and Sportline.

Apple to Open New Stores - London, Paris, Shanghai and Elsewhere

Apple announced that they plan to open dozens of "significant stores" around the world. New Apple Store locations include London, Paris, Shanghai and elsewhere. Apple also recently opened it's fourth store in New York.

Other locations to see Apple Stores built in 2010 include the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, France and China. New US based Apple stores are also planned to spring up next year.

It's exciting to see the growth of the Apple Stores. Their stores are awesome!!!

Each year Retailers seem like they are getting closer at figuring things out. Personally, I have found Best Buy to be the most organized of the Top Retailers.

Walmart Black Friday Plans Hours Change

Walmart is changing its hours for the day after Thanksgiving, after the tragedy last year when a temporary employee in Long Island was trampled to death as customers tried to grab a bargain.

Instead of having customers wait outside overnight and then rush inside when the store opens in the morning, many stores will open Thanksgiving night and stay open 24 hours. Customers will be asked to line up inside the store in front of Black Friday specials.

Deloitte’s 24th Annual Holiday Survey of 10,878 consumers reports that:

22% of all consumers will do their primary shopping online this year
60% will use social media sites to find discounts
53% to research gift ideas
52% to check wish lists
19%—plan to use their mobile devices for shopping this year
25% of those users expect to make a holiday purchase with their phones
55% will use their devices to find store locations
40% to find product information
32% to get discounts and coupons
31% to read reviews

That's few of the top stats for the Holiday Shopping Survey from Deloitte.
