Retailers traditionally offer door buster deals and discounts to lure customers to their store on Black Friday, a day retailers go from being in the red to being in the black. This year Mall of America® offered a chance for 300 individuals to get lucky and 21 individuals to get even luckier with Lucky Bag.
Mall of America handed out gift bags to the first 300 guests who lined up in the Best Buy® Rotunda starting at 6 a.m. Black Friday, Nov. 27. Every bag contained a $25 Mall of America gift card, a MOA Super Savings Coupon Book and other fun items from Mall retailers. Twenty-one of these bags also contained a lucky blue ticket, which entitled those 21 people to compete in the Lucky Bag contest.
The Lucky Bag contestants selected a special bag from an array of 21 shopping bags displayed in the Best Buy Rotunda. Each of these 21 shopping bags contained an exciting prize valued at a minimum of $500. The contestant did not know what they had won until they opened the bag to reveal their prize. One very lucky bag contained a $5,000 shopping spree to Mall of America.
