HP Voodoo Envy 133 thinner than Apple MacBook Air

HP released news regarding the Voodoo Envy 133 laptop today. The Voodoo Envy 133 is 0.7 inches thick. The thickest part of the Apple MacBook Air is .76 inches thick. So, it looks like HP's Voodoo Envy 133 laptop wins the battle of thinness. The Apple MacBook Air won the battle on weight (3 lbs vs 3.37 lbs). Apple also wins on battery life, and overall coolness... because it's Apple.

The Voodoo Envy 133 Laptop is expected to be available for sale during the summer with a price tag of just over $2000 USD.

I dunno.. I used to be all about Apple, but a friend turned me to Voodoo and I think it's pretty safe to say I have converted now. The Blackbird 002 was sick. I couldn't afford it, but the Envy is totally within my budget. It is 100% carbon fibre, too - pretty sick.

The Voodoo Envy Seems interesting. Maybe Apple has some real competition. I haven't heard too much about Voodoo though. Anyone have much experience with them?

I own a Macbook right now. It's a piece of shit. The build quality is terrible. I don't use it to travel, I only use it to websurf and it sits on my desk at home. The edges of the computer are already peeling. The plastic is so cheap and thin. I have an IBM T41 that I bought 4 years ago or so which is in better shape.

So back to Voodoo. One of my friends has a Voodoo laptop and needless to say, it's the best built computer I have even seen (in terms of build quality). In the past you have always paid a huge premium for a Voodoo, and a Voodoo never made any sense for someone who was not a gamer. But with HP in the fold now, their scale will increase, it's now affordable, and its not geared to just gamers. If their build quality remains the same and the reviews are good I'll be chucking this piece of shit Macbook to the curb and getting me a voodoo.
